The Company’s priority project is PANURI, a pancreatic urine cancer test. In a proof-of-concept study, the test demonstrated high sensitivity and specificity. The Company is currently conducting a multicenter clinical performance study, representing the next stage of technology validation.
The second pillar of Urteste’s activity is the MULTI-CANCER portfolio, aimed at developing diagnostic tests for several dozen of the most common cancers. The portfolio currently includes 13 diagnostic test prototypes covering brain, breast, stomach, bile duct, ovarian, endometrial, kidney, colorectal, lung, liver, pancreatic, prostate, and bladder cancer.
One of the projects selected from the MULTI-CANCER portfolio is NASTRO – in vitro diagnostic (IVD) urine-based test under development for the early detection of breast cancer through the analysis of protease activity. The project is currently in the research and development phase.
